I never would have imagined this journey.
I fell into making paper layered mandalas by complete happenstance and I haven't looked back. It's quite different than the other crafts that I've picked up along the years. Normally, I start something, become super invested, stock up on alllllll the things, just to not be interested in it not too far in the distant future.
I have been making mandalas and other 3D layered art for over 3 years. And the crazy thing is that instead of slowing down, becoming uninterested, and putting it aside, I continue to grow.
It's extremely surreal, especially when I look back at all that I've accomplished these past 3 years. And it's not without its struggles...I experience a lot of the same stress that other small business owners have. It is not for the faint of heart.
So, what am I doing this blog?
Honestly, I'm not sure.
I am going to see where it goes. When my boys were in the NICU, I utilized CaringBridge to update family and friends as there was an update often, sometimes every few hours. There's something cathartic about putting thoughts onto "paper".
